BORSTAL WORK
LETTER FROM LADY BLEDISLOE
Great pleasure has been given to the members of the Women's Borstal Association by a letter from Lady Bledisloe, which she sent to Mrs. It. Tait, Kelburn, on receipt of the annual report. Lady Bledisloe was a most kind president and patroness of the association, and showed a real interest in the work always, making visits to Point Halswell on a number of occasions and also showing many kindnesses to the girl inmates.
The letter is as follows:—
"Dear Mrs Tait, —Very many thanks for so kindly sending me the report of the Borstal Association of New Zea-i land which I have read with Interest,; asj always have such happy memories of my visits to your institution, and the talks with the girls, and I am very, glad it is all going on so well. ■ I do indeed congratulate you (as chairman) and the committee on their splendid and unselfish work all are doing. ■■"■■■•.■■■
