ISLAND BAY SCHOOL

CEREMONY ON SATURDAY

The official opening by the Minister of Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) of the new open-air classrooms at the Island Bay Public School will take place at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday. The event will be an important one for the suburb, as it represents the completion of a thorough overhaul of the school buildings. Among those expected to attend are Mrs. Fraser, Mr. R. McKeen, member for the district, and Mrs. McKeen, Mr. W. V. Dyer, chairman of the Wellington Education Board, and other members of Uie board. A large number of residents will also be present at the ceremony,, which will be followed by afternoon tea.
