MOTORCAR SALES INCREASE.

At the annual meeting of the Barnet Glass Hubber Co., Ltd.. held in Melbourne, the chairman (Mr. P. J. Glass) said the outlook for the current year was satisfactory. Motor-car tyres and tubes and truck tyres, Mr. Glass said, showed an increase in sales. The advantage of pneumatic tyres was being brought home to farmers for use in carts, tractors, and agricultural implements, a development which opened up an enormous field for expansion. Independent investigators confirmed the conclusion arrived at by the combined executive . management of the company and of the DunlopTPerdriau Company that considerable saving could be made by the rationalisation of manufacturing units.
