SERVICE COMPLAINT
UNION COMPANY'S ATTITUDE
(Br Telegraph— Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day.
The coincidence that the liners Awatea and Mariposa were to have left Auckland for Sydney last Friday and that the Awatea and Monterey are due to leave Auckland on October 1 for Sydney and the Awatea and Mariposa on October 29, has been taken up with the Union Steamship Company by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, which is urging a revision of the itinerary so as to provide more steamer, connections at Auckland and Sydney/ * • • ' Replying, the Union company states that much consideration has>been given to the fixing of sailings between Sydney, Auckland, and Wellington, and having regard to all the factors, the present sailings were the best possible. Although it would be possible to even up the sailings between Auckland and Sydney the advantage so gained would be to the disadvantage of another sphere .of the time-table.
