BROOKLYN CLUB.
The Brooklyn Club held at run from St. Alban's Church schoolroom, Eastbourne, about twenty runners participating. The majority of the competitors set out early for Pencarrow Lighthouse, with D. Sinclair leading the way, hotly pursued by Hiscock, MeCalman, Prosser, McGregor, and Pedersen. Though the tracks along the ridges were very slippery, a fast pace was maintained until the lighthouse was reached, one man heading the other until G. Prosser: had a comfortable lead on the rest of the pack. Prosser seemed to be at the peak of his form, and ran easily all the way against the others of his pack, who were going all out. On this course, which has come to be regarded as Brooklyn's annual endurance contest, ha had no difficulty in leading the way home along the arduous going of the beach. Had his time been recorded it probably would have been one of the best yet. '
