"I found it a good game to control," observed the referee (Mr. J. S. King). "International games are not like other matches. Hard knocks were given and taken, but I would call it a clean game." J. T. Burrows, manager vt the All Blacks, himself an ejrf^ew Zealand representative forward, did not begrudge a tribute to the victors. "The All Blacks were definitely beaten, and we have no complaint's," he said. ■
