ROAD ACCIDENTS
TWO MEN KILLED THIRD BADLY HURT NOT FOUND FOR HOURS (By Telegraph—Press Assoc:a;;on.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 5. Two young men were killed and an-1 other seriously injured when a» car crashed1 through the approach to a bridge near Inglewood and dived on Its nose over a 20-foot bank into a small creek. It was not until probably' eight to ten hours afterwards that the victims were discovered. Those killed were Keith Ivan Shaw, single. aged 19, of New Plymouth, and MaitJand George Morrison, single! aged 23, of New Plymouth. Maurice Rogers, single, a grocer's assistant, »f Urenui, ■was injured. The accident probably occurred is the early hours of this morning, but it was not 'till 2 p.m. today that the discovery was made. Mr. Andrew Dodunski,'when passing along the road, noticed that part of the concrete approach to the bridge had been broken down. He investigated, , and found the wrecked car standing on.its nose in the creek. Messrs. Shaw and Morrison were obviously dead with head injuries and broken limbs, but Mr. Rogers, who was in the front seat and was probably the driver, was alive. Mr. Dodunski summoned Constable Longbottom and Dr. Mcßae from Inglewood. They concluded that the two men had been dead from eight to ten hours. Mr. Rogers was hurried to New' Plymouth hospital. He regained consciousness for a few minutes and was able to give his name, but .again lapsed into unconsciousness before he could give any account of the accident. He has serious head injuries and probably broken bones. ,
