(To the Editor.)

'Sir,—l-would like to draw attention to Mr. Adam Hamilton's remarks at the meeting held at Wyndham in your issue of August 30. He says: "In my judgment the Prime Minister himself is New Zealand's leading 'croaker,' and also that he thinks he himself is the Heaven-sent deliverer to make New Zealand a paradise in the Pacific." I would like to say that I have attended several of the Prime Minister's meetings and have always found that in speaking he tries to uplift the people and bring a higher standard of living. He has done a lot for the women of New Zealand, not looking for praise or honour, and has always spoken well of the pioneers.—l am, etc., • > E.K.W.
