DENTAL COUNCIL
PERSONNEL ANNOUNCED
The personnel of the Dental Council is announced in the Gazette issued last evening. Authority for the appointment of the council is contained' in the Dentists Act passed last session of Parliament. The members, who will hold office for three years from June 1 last, are:— William Prentice Sommerville, dentist. Wellington. John Thomas Cooper, dentist, Dunedin. Robert Bevan Dodds, D.D.S., University of New Zealand, Dunedin. John Norman Rishworth, M.8.E./ dentist, Auckland. Owen Vivian Davies, dentist, Dunedin. Charles Ernest Hercus, D.5.0., 0.8. E., M.D., 8.D.5., and D.P.H., University of New Zealand, Dunedin. Philip Patrick Lynch, M.D., University of New Zealand, Wellington. Messrs. Rishworth and Davies were elected by the registered dentists in thj North and South Islands respectively, and then appointed by the Gov-ernor-General. The other appointments were made by his Excellency on the recommendation of the Minister of Health. The Director-General of Health or his deputy will also be a member of the council, and will be the first chairman. ; Mr. Dodds is the Dean of the Dental School, Dunedin, and Professor Hercus is Dean of the Medical School, Dunedin.
