A BUILDING OF CLASS
Something entirely original in building construction is represented by the new Corning Building which is. being completed in New York. It is a fivestorey, building having exterior walls of glass construction units framed in limestone. The building is air-condi-tioned and will be insulated by fibrous glass; the air filters and any movable partitions on the upper floors Will also [employ fibrous glass; Glass construcj tion units are being used for all partitions inside the \building, so that the interior edifice will serve as a practical demonstration of the use of glass as a structural material. The building is being erected for the Corning Glass Works, New York, famous, incidentally, for the casting of the giant 200 in telescope glass mirror.
