SHIPMENTS OF MEAT TO BRITAIN.
The New' Zealand, Meat Producers' Board is advised by cable, from its 'London office that the shipments from I Australia, South' America, and South Africa to the United Kingdom during the first half of .August, 1937, were as follows:—Australia: Mutton, 14,086 carcasses; lamb, 20,549 carcasses; bee£ , (jtrozen), 40,000 quarters; beef (chilled), 21268 quarters. Soirth America: Mutton, 4687 carcasses; lamb, 80,640 carcasses; beef (frozen),. 564 quarters; beef (chilled), 172,240 quarters. South Africa (including Southern Rhodesia): Beef (chilled), 4070 quarters. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the first halt' of August were as.follows:—Mutton. 85,773 carcasses;- lamb, 362,142 carcasses; beef (frozen), 5280,quarters:.beef (chilled).
