;. The loss to New Zealand cricket in. the deaths of Messrs. D. McKenzie and W. H. Winsor is-referred-to-in the annual report of the Wellington Cricket Association. Tribute is paid to the long service 'given by both cricket stair warts in the interests of the' game.

Mr. Aylwin Probert,. of San Francisco, who has been touring the North Island to secure New Zealand's representation at the Golden Gate International Exposition in 1939, will leave by the Wanganella tonight for Sydney on a* similar mission.

Mr. F. A. Bullock, of Christchurch, judge of the singing classes at last year's festival of the Wellington Competitions Society, arrived in Welling-, ton today and will return honie on Saturday night.

: Mr. James Lockie, who was formerly assistant city solicitor for the Wellington City Corporation, Has been promoted to be clerk for Ayrshire County, Scotland. Mr. Lockie took up the position of deputy clerk some two years ago on probation, and has novr succeeded to the senior position.
