PIGS, POULTRY, AND PRODUCE.

The Dominion Auctioneering Com* pany, Palmerston North, reports as follows:—To a large attendance of buyers we submitted a capacity yarding of'four hundred pigs at Thursday's fair and, to accommodate the large entry even the races had to be utilised for additional space. A total Clearance was effected of all lines at satisfactory prices to the venders with the demand still unsatisfied, besKweaiiers realising up to 29s 6d, slips to 325, and light porkers up to 335. Poultry is still in keen demand, and to a large bench of buyers we cleared a good entry of all lines, a nice line of B.C. hens realising 5s 3d each and ducks up to 4s 9d each. There was little varia* tion in the price of fruit and produce. We quote as follows: — Pigs; Small Stt^ej^jgjte^ug *ach N

best up to 29s 6d; slips up to 325, stores to 38s; light porkers up to 435, sows and litters £5 15s to £10 10s. :

Poultry: Heavy cockerels from 9s to 10s per pair, light cockerels from 8b to 9s, fat roosters from 8s to 9s, light roosters from 7s 6d to 8s 6d, best W.L. hens from 7s lOd to 9s 6d, 8.0. hens 8s 6d to 10s 6d, light hens from 7s to 7s 6d, ducks from 6s to 9s 6d, drakes from 7s to Bs, clucky hens from 5s to 6s each, day-old chicks 9d each, four-week-old chicks to Is 3d each.
