FROZEN MEAT TRADE
Shipments of frozen meat from the Dominion during the period from October 1, 1936, to August 15, 1937, with the figures for the corresponding period last season in parentheses, are reported as follows by the New Zealand Meat Poducers' Board:—Chilled beef, quarters, 182,156 (130,627);. frozen beef, quarters, 134,833 (188,433); mutton, carcasses, 1,426,365 (1,621,791); lamb, carcasses, 8.252,724 (8,042,618); pork, carcasses, 556,013 (587,527); boneless beef, bags, 222,555 (207,788). Killings for export during the- same periods were:—Chilled beef, quarters, 175,892 (128,191); frozen beef, quarters, 196197 (189,357); wether mutton, carcasses, 971,866 (1,144,533): ewe mutton, carcasses, BQ7JWI (739,035); lamb, carcasses, 9,180,858 (8,788,127); pork (porkers), carcasses, 428,561 (450,343); pork (baconers), carcasses, 239,229 (215,191); boneless beef (freight carcasses), 501,024 (405,571); boneless bobby veal, freight carcasses, 145,42? (H0.757): sundries, freight carcasses, 297,095 (304,652).
