SPRINGBOKS' TOUR
NEXT ENGAGEMENT
BRAND INCLUDED
(By Telegraph.) (From "The Post's" Special Reporter.)' CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. j Interesting features of the selection of- the Springbok team for the match '' with South Canterbury tomorrow are' that G. Brand will be having .his first try-out since meeting with an injury in the Wellington game, ;and tWat J. W. Lotz, the hooker, will be rested for the first time on the New Zealand tour and for the second time on the whole tour. Brand's sore throat trouble kept him in bed until yesterday, while he remained in Christchurch this week. Lotz has been giving groat service to the team and, though the rest- is deserved, it is doubtful whether "Boy" Louw, who is no stranger to the hooking job, will be able to do as well. Another feature in the selection of the backs is the inclusion of G. P. Lochner. There is a possibility that he may be considered for the Test, vice White, as a result of his fine game against West Coast-Buller. He lacks White's solidity, but is rather more dashing on attack. i The team chosen is a strong one, and i will be difficult to counter. : The game may give Turner an opporI tunity to increase .his score. With ten I points on Wednesday, he has now i passed the century mark for points on the entire tour, his total being. 105.
