COBDEN'S INJURY
The retirement of D. G. Cobden, New Zealand's left wing-three-quarter, near the end of the first spell, was due to his having pulled a thigh muscle. It was stated after the match that it was doubtful ■ whether Cobden would be able to play again this season.
