BURNS—VANNING.

The wedding was solemnised recently at St. Peter's Church, Willis Street of Nancy, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs Leo Fanning, Wellington and Robert, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Burns, Petone. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W, Bullock. The bride wore a gracefully-cut frock of magnolia satin, and the bridesmaid Miss Tessie Fanning (her sister), was in rose-pink velvet. The flowereirl, Dallas Burns (sister of tne f groom), wore a dainty frock of pink 6Mr. H.S. Fanning (brother of the bride) was best man. During the signing of the register Madame Beatrice Elliott sang O Connor's "Alleluia" to the organ . accompaniment of Mr. S. Shortt. The table decorations in James Smith's Tearooms, where the reception was held, made an artistic study in pink. , Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Burns will make their home in Picton.
