DENTAL COUNCIL

TWO MEMBERS ELECTED

The postal ballot prescribed by the Dentists Act, 1936, and conducted by the ' Department of Health, for the election of two members of the Dental Council of New Zealand closed today, and resulted in the election of Mr. John' Norman Rishworth, M.8.E., of Auckland, .and Mr. Owen Vivian Davies, L.D.S., of Dunedin, as the representatives of the registered dentists resident in the North and South Islands, respectively. The votes registered in. favour of the various candidates were: North Island, E. G. Bender 74; J. N. Rishworth 337. South Island, O. V. Davies 108; D. V. Donaldson 106.

Certain appointments remain to be made by the Government before the personnel of the council is complete.
