BRITISH ISRAEL LECTURE.

There was a good attendance at the Trades Hall on Thursday evening to hear a British Israel lantern lecture by Mr. V. R. Brown. Mr. S. T. Watkins presided.

Dealing with fulfilled prophecies as a proof of. the identity of the AngloSaxon people as Israel, Mr. Brown stated that it was very necessary and most important to know whether the prophecies were to be fulfilled in the former days, latter-days, or last-days. One could then know- in what period of time fulfilment could be anticipated.

Students of prophecy were unanimously agreed that we are now living in the "last days" and it was in the "last days" that Israel was promised to become "a nation and a company of nations," and later Jacob confirmed both the promises and the time when blessing Ephraim. This prophecy was fulfilled in November, 1926, when the late King George V approved the status of the Dominions, and the British Commonwealth of Nations was formed.
