TRIBUTE TO MINISTER
A tribute to the Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) was paid by Mr. H. Duckworth (Christchurch), president of the New Zealand Footwear Manufacturers' Association, at the annual meeting of the association yesterday. He was convinced, he said, that the Minister was wholly sympathetic towards local industry and appreciated its hopes and difficulties. While Mr. Sullivan had his own difficulties to meet in realising his ideals,, those engaged in industry could be assured of his sympathy and co-operation.
