WOMEN'S HOCKEY

The New Zealand Women's Hockey Association has now received cable advice from the secretary of the AllEngland Women's Hockey Association accepting the New Zealand Association's invitation for an English team to tour New. Zealand next year.

The team, which will consist of highclass players of international standard, will travel out via Suez and will play matches in Australia and take part in the All-Australia Women's Hockey Association's tournament to be held in Tasmania early next year. They will then proceed to New Zealand. There has been a very ready response on the part of affiliated associations in making application for games against the English team,, and some very interesting hockey should be seen during the course of the tour, which will occupy about six or seven weeks.
