EDUCATIONAL FILM
LIBRARY SUGGESTED
CHEAP METHOD OF SUPPLY
(By Telegraph.) (Special to the "Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day. "What is needed is a national library of films which could-rent films to all New Zealand educational bodies," said a Dunedin authority on education methods. Films were like books in that they could be' used a great number of times: Probably it would be uneconomical •to have available in New Zealand more than one copy of some films, but ol others it might be wise to have up to 10 or 20 copies. , A national library could lend to all educational bodies using' approved projectors. . ■■' .■..-
It was desirable also that film should be sent free on the railways.
A charge of only "Is rental for two or three days would recoup the cost of film in less than half its life, and for that reason the library organisation should not be costly. - • .
