CHEESE 'MAEKST.
In the absence of precise information of the quantities, grades, and descriptions of the butter and chesse shipped and sold by the Government under tha guarantee, it is impossible to ascertain at least until all returns are in and audited, whether this business will result in a loss or a profit to the Government. On the returns for cheess it would seem quite clear that the Government, will make a profit, and perhaps thereby offset any loss sustained on its buttPi-. -But this will not be known until all the official information is made public.
