FUNNEL PAINTED BLACK
The Union Company's old liner Marama, which has been sold to the Linghua Dock anti Engineering Works, Ltd., China, has just come off the floating dock after cleaning in preparation for her voyage to China, and has had her tall smokestack painted black. This is in accordance with the usual practice, as the vessel will not be sailing under the Union Company's colours. A Chinese crew is expected to arrive shortly to take delivery of the Marama.i
