The Acting Prime Minister (the Hon. P. Fraser) has received a cable from the Hon. R. Semple in Sydney stating that the health of ; the Minister of Public Works has improved considerably, and that he had a good voyage. He leaves for the Western Districts on Monday. .Mr; Fraser. replied and expressed his pleasure at Mr. Semple' 3 improvement in health.
The Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) was due to leave New York today for Cristobal, where he wMI connect with the Mataroa on July 22. He is due to arrive in Auckland on. August 12.
