METHODIST WOMEN
MISSIONARY AUXILIARY
A meeting was held at Miss Crabtree's home recently to consider the formation, of a branch.of the Methodist Women's Division Missionary Auxiliary, in Brooklyn. There was a good attendance. . ■ ■ ■ - Mrs: Pacey spoke of the work in the Solomon'lslands, and of the endeavour being made to send a doctor and nurse | there. She reminded those present of Christ's words of the woman who poured the precious ointment on His feet—"She hath done what she could." and said it was a woman to whom He first appeared . after rising from the dead. ' Mrs. Nicolson moved and Mrs. Balding seconded that a branch be formed, and this was carried unanimously. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. Gilling; vicepresidents,. Mrs. Raine and Mrs. Haslam; secretary, Mrs. Walton; treasurer and assistant treasurer, Mrs. Dovey and Mrs. Hale; stamp collector, Mrs. MacLachlan; pianist, Mrs. Nicolson; Kurahura treasurer, Mrs. Cracknell. Three solos were sung by Mrs. Upton. Afternoon tea was served by the members, after which Mrs. Pacey inducted .the president,, secretary, 'and treasurer.' ' ' Votes of thanks were passed to Miss Crabtree for her kindness in offering her home for the. meeting, to Mrs. Pacey, and to Mrs. Upton.
