(Special to tho "Evenino Post.") CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Waimate .District Hunt Club's Annual Meeting will be held tomorrow. All the fields are of useful size, and there should be some interesting sport, with a hurdle race and two hunters' steeplechases as special attractions. The single-pool system of betting will be used.

HUNTING AT HOME
A NEW ZEALAND VISITOR
Mr. W. Brown, master of the Waikato Hunt, has just returned to Cambridge after a season in England and Ireland, where he was the guest of m^LS"n«shire the MMdleton Hunt hunt over beautiful countiy, said Mr. Brown. "Unlike in Leices eishire, the fences are natural, untnmmed ones. The going in ;this .country is very heavy and one had to be on a first-class hunter for pace and Jumping ability to keep up with the .houndsMr. Brown had several days' hunting with the Belvoir Pack (Leicestershire). In this old-established hunt the membership fee is 300 guineas a season. The expenses of running the hunt are £12,000 a year. Mr. Brown. . said the master of the Belvoir was Colonel Colman, and the members hunted over some of the finest country in England. When they ran over the vale in Leicestershire it was all delightful grass, with nicely trimmed fences. j_ There was an occasional post-and-rail fence and one could go anywhere. There was
