In the senior Tourist Trophy race at the Isle of Man, F. L. Frith, riding a Norton, won in 2hr 59min 41sec, with an average speed of 88.21 miles per hour. There were 23 starters. Friths last lap was a record, being covered at an average speed of 90.27 miles per hour.
