THE WATERLOO CUP

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) MASTERTON,' June 18. Cold, wet weather continued for the third round of the Waterloo Cup. The results were:— - Archer Bros.' (Carterton) . Golden King beat M. A. Skinner's (W.aihi) Lazy Bones, 4-2. JVing and -D. Butcher's (Masterton) Why Hurry beat James-and Taylor's (Masterton) Fullojoy.- . Wing and Butcher's Rereatu beat Archer Bros.' (Carterton) Slippery. 7-6 i. R. Walters's (Waihi) Tonatoe beat L. H. Jones's (Masterton) Jenny Ross, 8-6. The following remain in the Waterloo Purse: L. F. Brown's ((Okoroire) All Night,. C. Huon's (Waihi) Bonanza, Muir and Ruddy's (Christchurch) Claggon Boy, and Archer Bros.' (Carterton) Flying Tackle. In the Waterloo Plate, those remaining are: D. Grimwood's (Masterton) Roy, V. C. Davy's (Gisborne) Lordly Knight, G. Willis's (Patea) Ring Again, and Blue Feather.

The finals are to be decided tomorrow.

Attention is drawn to an advertisement in this issue regarding a meeting of the Birmingham and Midland Counties Association, to be held at the old Technical School building, 89-91 Wakefield Street, next Wednesday at -7.45 p.m. The committee hopes for a big attendance.
