HUTT VALLEY SOCIETY
The thirty-fifth annual report of the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society expresses the loss .the society sustained last year in the deaths of Mr. R. N. Wall, who was a life member, Mr. O. S. Watkins, a vice-president, and Mr. J.W. Thomson, a keen daffodil grower; also Mesdames W. R. Hufton and L. Bolter and Mr. L. Dwan, supporters of the society. During the year Mr. W. Copping, a member of the executive, had left the district.

The receipts for the year, were £473 3s 8d and expenditure £467 ls 7d.
Subscriptions had come in more freely than in the past year, £167 14s in current subscriptions being received as against £143 18s the previous year.
The balance of assets over liabilities was £1297 4s 9d
