LABOUR SHORTAGE

STATE'S HOUSING SCHEME

Contrary to earlier expectations, the caucus of Government members which opened yesterday was unable to get its business completed by last evening, and it was resumed this morning, with a prospect of it lasting throughout the afternoon.

In an interview at the luncheon adjournment, the Acting Prime Minister (the Hon. P. Fraser) said that the whole morning had been occupied with a discussion of the Government's housing scheme, and that one of the most important features Of the discussion had been consideration of the possibility of the shortage of skilled labour in this connection.
