As her prospective bridegroom arrived too late on his wedding day, a native girl of Berberton, South Africa, married another man. When the day was nearly over, and he had still failed to arrive, an old suitor stepped forward, and asked if she would marry him instead. She said "Yes," and the ceremony was performed on the spot.
