INVITATION TOURNEY
TO CONCLUDE TONIGHT
The first series of games in the Wellington Table Tennis Association's invitation tournament was played on Tuesday night in the Wellington Club's rooms and the second series .last night. The first grade matches will be played tonight.
The following are the final results:
Men's Third Grade Singles.—Pssk (Wellington) beat Roche (Island Bay Catholic). 31-29.
Men's Third Grade Doubles.— Sutherland and McLean (Brooklyn Presbyterian) beat Pask and Matthews (Wellington), 31-24.
Mixed Open Doubles.—Kennedy and Miss StuiTOck (Wellington) beat Wilson (Wellington) and Miss Epsom (Papanui) 31-18.
Ladies' Second Grade Singles.— Miss Croxton (Wellington) beat Miss Schmitt (Pensions) 31-20.
Mixed Second Grade Doubles.— Purdie and Miss Epsom (Accountants) beat Walker and Miss Walker), 31-27.
Ladies' Second Grade Doubles.—Miss Walker and Miss Johnston (Pensions) beat Miss Lamb and Miss Schmitt (Pensions), 31-12.
Men's Second-grade Singles and Doubles were unfinished, and will be concluded tonight.
Those playing in grades which have not been completed and all first-grade players are requested to be at the rooms at 7 o'clock sharp tonight.
