British trade figures for May are:— Imports, £83,131,000; exports, £42,732,000; re-exports, £7,392,000. Principal increases: Imports, grain and flour, £2,155,000; other food, £978,000: wood and timber, £899,000; cotton and raw waste, £1,070,000; wool and raw waste, £1,061,000; non-ferrous metals, £2,673,000; oils, fats, and- resins, £1,487,000. Exports: Iron and steel manufactures, £895,000; cotton yarns and manufactures, £1,051,000; vehicles, £834,000. Re-exports, wool and raw waste. £833,000; non-ferrous metals, £610,000. Decreases: Imports, Fresh fruit and vegetables, £1,235,000.
