SHOP OPEN TOO LATE
A plea of guilty to a charge of failing to close his butcher's shop at 5 p.m., was entered by G.'.P. Costigan before Mr. I-I. P. Lawry, S.M., in the Lower Hutt Court.today. ~ . ; ' ,
Mr. F. W: Ashley, Inspector 'at Factories: said that the offence'occurred on a Friday night. The defendant had two shops separated by a partition—: a pork shop which could remain open until 9 p.m. and a'1 fresh, meat shop which had to be closed at 5, pm. The shop .was under observation after, 8.30 p.m., when several people were seen to pass into it from, the pork shop. For a similar offence the defendant had been fined £1- on September. 5, .1934, arid had been warned in > writing on July 9, 1936. A number of complaints had been received by the defendant.
