MRS. FREER MAY LAND
AUSTRALIAN DECISION
MELBOURNE, .June 2,
The Federal Cabinet decided today to allow Mrs. Freer to come into. Aus-' tralia. The decision followed consideration of a letter from her solicitor. Mr. M. O. Barnett, Wellington, , who urged that continuation of the,prohibition would be .unjust ~ ;• The Acting Prime Minister, Dr. Earle Page, announced.-that having regard to all the circumstances, , including the fact that Mrs. Freer had been .a.resident of New Zealand for over six months, Cabinet had informed Mr. Barnett that no steps would be taken to prevent her landing In Australia.
