NEW ZEALAND HOUSE
CORONATION DECORATIONS
(From -The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, May 12.
: . New Zealand House,. in the Strand, is gaily decorated for the Coronation, and while it is in' harmony with the general decorations of that thoroughfare, it bears its. own distinct individuality! ■ Westminster's colours—red, blue, and yellow—are prominent on the upper portion of the. building, and two huge green .tikis, with lolling red tongues, together with the fluttering New Zealand flags, stamp the premises indelibly as those of the Dominion. The tikis' eyes are electric bulbs which -are lighted at. night. Photographs occupy the two windows. In the larger a coloured photograph of their Majesties is placed in the centre of.the Royal crest, with the lion and the unicorn rearing on either side. Smaller photographs show their.Majesties as the Duke and Duchess of York during their tour of. New Zealand. Mr. M. J. Savage,, the Prime Minister, and Viscount Galway, the Governor-Gen-eral, are also included. In the opposite window there are large, coloured figures of a Maori' arid a sheep farmer, and these are surrounded by coloured photographs, of typical New Zealand rural scenes.
