CEYLON EXPULSION ORDER

COLOMBO, May 18.
The Supreme Court has declared illegal the order for the expulsion of Mark Bracegirdle, who has been released!
Bracegirdle, a tea plantation migrant from Australia, was ordered to leave Ceylon within twenty-four hours owing to his activities in connection with a local social party led by an Indian woman. He declared that he would not leave the island till he was thrown out. The Ceylon State Council passed a.motion affirming that the Governor's expulsion of Bracegirdle violated the Constitution and the express conditions of the Governor's appointment, and requesting the Minister to press for the repeal of the order.
