ANNUAL MEETING

The Tin Hat Club of the Wellington J Returned Soldiers' Association held a successful annual meeting this week, approximately one hundred members being present. ■ The annual report, which was adopted, stated that there was a membership of 350 and the tattoos held during the year had brought many old comrades together and enabled new friendships to be made. The orchestra, chair, and concert party had been-active during the year, several excellent concerts being given in the city and country centres. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:— Patron, the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C.; president, Lieut.-Colonel A. Cowles, V.D.; vice-presidents, Colonel H. Weston, D.5.0., Colonel G. Lyon. M.C, Lieut.-Colonel H. E. Avery, C.M.G., D.5.0.. Lieut.-Colonel N. S. Falla, C.M.G., D.5.0., H. F. Waite, M.L.C., Messrs.. L. Hill. S. J. Harrison, W. T. McKeon, Geo. Holloway. Pat Cole, J. Payne, and C. A. Perry; executive committee, Messrs. D. Alabaster, D. M. Ekhoff, W. Irons, J. Spence, S. Porter, J. Rodgers, E. Dean, Morgan-Davies, and H. Crook; hon. secretary, Mr. Geo. H. Boag; hon. treasurer, Mr. W. F. Rowe; hon. auditor, Mr. H. L. Cooper. A.I.A.N.Z. At the conclusion of the meeting supper was served and war-time games were enjoyed.
