STATE THEATRE, PETONE.
"Can This Be Dixie?'.' concludes tonight at the. State Theatre, Petone. "Theodora Goes -Wild," a rollicking Columbia production which serves to introduce Irene Dunne to motion picture fans in her first comedy assignment, opens tomorrow at the State Theatre, Petone. Melvyn Douglas appears opposite Miss Dunne in the leading male role, with Thomas Mitchell, Thurston Hall, Rosalind-Keith, Spring Byington, Elizabe'lJi Risdon, and: Margaret McWadeTrounding out the cast.
PLAZA THEATRE. Another bright musical comedy from the Gainsborough studios, starring Cicely Courtneidge (Mrs. Jack Hulbert), undying favourite of stage and screen, "Everybody Dance," will begin at the Plaza Theatre today. Several new song are introduced in the film,, and comedy should not lag, for aho-' other splendid comedian, Ernest Truex, assists Miss Courtneidge in the revels. A pageant of history of several generations of .the Royal. Family is contained- in a special Coronation feature, "Crown and Glory," which is included in. the supporting programme.
