TIN HAT CLUB

A large muster of returned soldiers assembled in the R.S.A. rooms last eveaing to celebrate the monthly tattoo of the Tin Hat Club. The general enthusiasm and spirit , of' the Coronation was in evidence, and the members entered into the choruses and numerous other items with a will.

Mr. W. Smith was elected chairman for the evening, and in complimenting members on the exceptionally good attendance urged them to enter into the spirit of the evening and make it a fine climax to a great day. The Hon. F. Waite. M.L.C.. also spoke briefly. For his outstanding services to the club for many years, particularly as regards the leading of the orchestra, Mr. Pat Cole was the recipient of the club's special medal.

Vocal items were rendered by Messrs. J. Osborne and Egerton Pegg, and other entertaining items included orchestra numbers, thumbnail sketches, and humour.
