HORNABROOK IN FORM

FINE MASTERTON GOLF

Very fine golf was seen at Masterton on Saturday. Hornabrook did a very neat 69 (35-34), heading the qualifying list, with Horton next with 72, J. L. Black 75, and W. G. Home and A. D. S. Duncan 76. Black and Hornabrook and Horton' and Home will play the semi-final on Coronation morning. Hornabrook is indicated as the champion of the meeting, but surprises have been known to occur. The Manawatu player has the unhappy knack, for .his opponents, of seeming off his game just enough to give encouragement for hopes that are rarely fulfilled. He can always produce the shot required.
