WELLINGTON V. TARANAKI
REPRESENTATIVE MATCH
The representative match between the Wellington third grade team and Taranaki will be played in Taranaki on August 14. At the fortnightly meeting of the Wellington executive on Monday night acceptance of ■ the date was received from the Taranaki Association. There were present at the meeting:—Mrs. A. Symonds : (in the chair), Mesdames C. Dyer, G. Calder, V. Allen, A. Muir, H. D. Muir, O. Turner, Misses M. E. Armstrong, O. Wharton, M. Blake, N. McGuire, E. Ruddell, J.Mitchell, and V. Palmer. A letter was received from the Wellington football clubs seeking their support in an appeal to the City Council for an improved road at ■ Hataitai. The executive decided to give them their full support in this matter. The secretary, coach, and captains of the two fifth grade St. Patrick's teams will be asked to attend the next executive meeting on May 24 to discuss a breach of the bylaws. Y.W.C.A. B and Wellington B teams in the fifth grade junior section were fined for trespassing on a court while a match was in ■ progress. The Sacred Heart Club was granted affiliation to the association.
