BIDDING FAREWELL
Mrs. P. J.1 O'Regan, Mrs. Rolland O'Regan, and Mrs. Dowling were joint hostesses at a very enjoyable afternoon tea party at Kirkcaldie and Stains on Monday in honour of Mrs. M. Mackin and Miss Mary Bryson, who will leave for Great Britain, via Canada, by the Niagara next Tuesday, and Mrs. R. V. Hume, who will leave for the East by the Maetsuycker on Friday. A bowl of autumn berries and Coronation favours looked very effective on the tea table. A dainty corsage spray of roses and cyclament was presented to each of guests of honour. Other guests were Mrs. Halse, Mrs. M. J. Kennedy, Mrs. J. E. Gamble, Mrs. C. L. Logan,. Mrs. B. F. Kelly, Dr. Elizabeth Bryson, Mrs W. McDonald, Mrs. C. J. O'Regan, and the Misses McKilrick and D. Cunningham.
Le'vison, has a living at Coupar Angus, Perthshire. The Church of St. Mary Woolnoth, Lombard Street, was decor-1 ated with daffodils and purple iris. On the altar were vases with Madonna lilies, also the old plate for which the church is famous. A little niece of the bride, Miss Mary Elizabeth Cicely Holland, was daintily dressed in cream j spotted net with a sash of old rose. I Pinlc roses and grape hyacinths were | used for bet bouquet. - " j The hymns sung were "O Perfect Love" and "Praise, my soul, -the King of Heaven." The psalm was the Scottish paraphrase of Ps. 121. The organist was Mr. H. Kingslako. Mr: John Levison (brother of the bridegroom) was best man. _ The I groomsmen were Mr.. Rcuaald. Holland, I Mr. Michael Holland (.cousins), and Mr. D. Levison. . • - . ■ • ■ A reception was held at the Goldsmiths' Hall,> lent by the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths. The guests were received by Canon and Mrs. W. E. S. Holland, on behalf of the Bishop of Wellington and Mrs. Holland. Those present • included Lady Levison, Dr. and Mrs. R. A. Filling, Sir John and Lady Mclntyre, the Et. Hon. Mr. Walter Nash and Mrs. Nash, Canon Percival James, the Bishop of Bark-1 ing and Miss Inskip, and the Bishop j of Coventry. The honeymoon is being spent in Cornwall. The bride travelled in a dress' of reseda green with coat and hat to match.
