WING-FORWARDS
Some very fine players were overlooked in a note in "The Post" on Monday, classing Jim Parker "as perhaps the greatest wing-forward New Zealand has had since the war." There can be little doubt, of course, that the distinction of being the greatest in post-war football goes to C. G. Porter, and the claims of "Moke" Belliss must come ahead of those of Jim Parker, who undoubtedly was a fine player, but more like a fast, heady extra back than a wing-forward.
