GAS-MASK HATS

Gas-masks which can be worn . as hats have been displayed at a London fashion show, states the London" correspondent of the "Sydney Morning Herald." They look quite attractive as hats—but hideous as masks.

The one I saw looked rather like, a skull-cap with a round decontaminating box of shiny black metal in the centre. This stuck out rather-in the manner of a pom-pom. Lower down towards the' nape of the neck there were two round holes, ringed with the same black metal

Over the entire, model mere was a most attractive lace veil. When worn "in action" over the face, the metalringed holes at the back serve as eyeholes, and the metal pom-pom cornel over the nose.
