AUCKLAND, This Day. Directors of, New Zealand Newspapers, Limited, announce a dividend for the year Is 3d per share of the reduced capital of 16s 8d per share. The dividend is equal to 7J per cent, per annum, against 6 per cent. The dividend requires £37,344. The sum of £38,985 is carried forward, against £28,323 brought in. The paid capital now stands at £497,917. General reserve has been increased by £10,000' to £65,000. Creditors and tax provisions are £8488 higher at £505,349.

Total assets have contracted by £78,442. Investments have been reduced by £155,740 to £61,268. Land and buildings are £10,820 greater at £181,767, and stock has increased by £35,167 to £96,148. Debtors at £50,417 are £6039 higher, while shares in subsidiary concerns have grown from £500 to £19,500. The gross profit at £112,998 is £12,301 higher, and expenses have increased by £8444 to £68,236.
