CORONATION SHOW

NO CHILDREN INSIDE

Children, formerly allowed into the show building during the daytime, have now been prohibited from entering the building at any time, but they will be permitted into the grounds on 'Children's Day (tomorrow), and will be allowed by the Health Department to take part in the pets' parade. Wo entry fee is required for this parade, ail that is necessary being for the children to bring their pets and report on the top ground a short time before the parade commences at 3 p.m.

Despite, the prohibition of children, the attendances have kept up well so Car, and after next week should easily eclipse last year's figures. The dog trials will be held on the top ground from 2 p.m. tomorrow. Fourteen dogs have already entered, and there arecertain to be some post-entries. This event is always popular.

Besides the fashion parade, Saturday night's programme will be enlivened by the dancing of pupils in the stadium, for which no extra charge for admission will be made.

The show nightly continues to attract crowds who go the rounds of the many diversions.

The three days' horse jumping programme will begin on Coronation Day, also the horse show.

For his fifth statutory offence of drunkenness, Frederick Arthur Carlyle Kingan, a labourer, aged 63, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today.
