_—.-„ ♦ . A splendid entertainment was provided for a full house at the De Luxe Theatre last evening.. The Port Nicholson Silver ■ Band played selections, and Clarrie Bell, the popular xylophonist, played •"A Coon Band Contest." The most popular numbers (and deservedly so) were the songs of little Renais: Gage, • the young: New Zealand singing star. Special interest was taken in the personal appearance of this brilliant little .Wellington* artist, whose glorious voice and charming personality captured the hearts of her audience. Her understanding and enunciation are particularly commendable: The picture', presentation - was Stanley Lupino's merry musical comedy, "Facing the Music."
