KARORI B TOO GOOD

Evidence of consistent training _ in recent weeks was shown by Karori B in their match- with University, and they were not particularly hard pressed to win by 4 goals to 1. Karori set a fast pace from the outset and within a • few minutes Browne found the net after accepting a pass from the right. The students were mainly: on the defensive, and better combination allowed Karori to increase their score a little later, Edwards netting from a penalty corner. University made many determined onslaughts on their opponents' goals towards the end of the spell, but C. Moore (goalkeeper) was a difficulty man to get past. . University appeared to settle down after the change-over, but Karori still dominated play, and in increasing his team's lead to 3 Hull made no mistake with the shot. In: the ensuing play University showed good promise, although they were a little wild with their stickwork. A nice forward movement finished up satisfactorily, Shaw scoring following a well-timed centre. Karori attacked aggressively near the end, and just at the whistle Hull took advantage -i an open goal and made the final score Karori 4, University 1. Mr. W. Keys was the umpire.
